YOUTHARC GOES DIGITAL…YEEHAAA
While the world has undoubtedly changed these past few months affecting the temporary closure of our youth centre, our team would like to reach out and reassure you that we are still here and keen to engage in new and exciting creative ways, to stay connected with young people in our community.
What we’ve realised is that so many of our exciting art projects already operate within the digital realm!
Why not take this opportunity to highlight some of the amazing possibilities available to our young people?
If you or anyone you know might be interested in contributing work digitally, that celebrates the skill, passion and creativity of young people in our community, then please put on your galactic goggles and digitally feathered hat and read on!
Think virtual communication: Emails, Facebook, Messenger, Instagram, Website, Zoom, Spotify podcasts and so much more! We’d love to hear about the stuff you’re into and your ideas.
The team at YOUTHARC will put all their focus into online and digital engagement!
While we get busy creating a social media timetable of places you can find us online for meetups, chats, games and more, why not have a read through the PLATFORM Youth and Creative Culture Projects at https://au.openforms.com/Form/a242bc8b-f589-4498-972c-dceee6e014af<- this link takes you to the FULL application form – but you can just send us a message anytime if this is TOO MUCH!
We’d love to engage with young people around digital content and content ideas, so send us your work! We’ll start with promoting and celebrating your achievements through:
- PLATFORM PODCASTS – Audio interviews on our new SPOTIFY CHANNEL https://open.spotify.com/show/74VxT7PQRskC2JG5ToLlpp
- PLATFORM MAGAZINE ISSUE 12 – A digital and hardcopy magazine for launch this September https://platform-youthculture.com/previous-editions/
- THE LOOP – digital outdoor screen on Elizabeth Street https://theloophobart.com.au/, and
- ART ON VIC – outdoor gallery of 8 x A0 art posters
Think virtual content: we’ll take it all in! From writing, stories, poetry, prose, photography, illustrations, music, interview ideas, reviews, recipes, films, tips, suggestions, 101 guides, DIY instructions , and everything in-between! No idea is too far out there.
Give us a call on 0438 079 588, or email us at firstname.lastname@example.org or find us on Facebook at www.facebook.com/youthartsandrec and let’s chat about your ideas. We’ll be in our home offices during normal business hours and waiting to hear from you 🙂
Conditions at the youth centre: The health and safety of young people, our staff, volunteers and the community is the priority at this time. For anyone who is approved to access the centre during the coming weeks, please be assured that we have adopting all advised protective measures. We ask that you do not attend any meetings or appointments in person, if you are feeling unwell.
We’re all in this together!
